General Conduct

All Guild members are expected to follow Blizzard’s World of Warcraft Code of Conduct and uphold Convicted Heroes’ good name and reputation. Public begging, ninja looting and any dishonourable conduct is strictly forbidden and reports will be taken very seriously by the Officers and Guild Leader. Keep in mind that you are representing the Guild and we expect members to show a certain amount of restraint when posting in public forums, chatting in general channels, and in groups with non-guild members and guild members alike. Complaints raised against any member of CH by either another guild member or an outside party will be investigated by the Officers and Guild Leader and appropriate action will be taken.

Respect other WoW players: Please be mindful of your behaviour and what you say to other players – both guild members and the general public. What you do and say speaks volumes of who you are as a person and CH as a Guild in general.

Respect your fellow Guild members: No verbal abuse, incessant ranting and hissy fits in response to whatever perceived injustices you think might have been directed at you. Everyone should be mature enough to settle their differences like adults.  An Officer or the Guild Master will step in when required to help deal with any issues.

Respect your Officers and Guild Master.  In the heat of play or even offline on the forums, officers will have to make decisions that might not sit well with you. Don’t take it personally as their jobs are to ensure the smooth running of the entire guild as a whole.  If you feel something is amiss – please contact an Officer or Guild Master with your comments when appropriate by a) sending an email b) private message c) in-game mail or d) message via the forum.

Chat, Forums & Voice Etiquette

Communication is important.  With a face-less product, such as chat – you never know who is on the other side.  It could be a 12 year old, or it could be your daughter or sons or even your boss from work and as such, you must keep communication at a level which is suitable towards everyone.  This means as little swearing as possible, and keeping mature and polite.

Under no circumstance is there to be any racist, sexist or any other downgrading or abusive comments anywhere.  Please treat this as your first and only warning.

We do not condone any illegal activities in any way, such as real-life illegal activities like piracy or in-game activities such as stealing from other players.

When using a public viewable channel, such as Trade in a capital city, you must not ‘spam’ or engage in communication outside of the use of said channel.

Raid Conduct (10- & 25-man content)

Organising a large group of people can be an extremely difficult task and as such, we require people to be patient. We expect our members to turn up to an event on time, have the required regents, the required gemmed and enchanted gear (Tanking,AR, FR, Healing, etc), repaired, and able to spend the required time at such a event.  Failure to be ready could result in yourself getting replaced by someone else at the decisions of your Raid Leader.

Please see our Raid Rules for more information

Party Conduct (5-man instances and group quests)

Similar to the above, but more relaxed.  If is up to the party leader to decide on his own rules.

General Group Rules

Do not loot in the middle of any battle. Wait until all enemies/events are dead or finished, no matter how weak they might be or how easy the content is. It is very distracting to have a pop-up window turn up in the middle of an encounter, especially for a tank or a healer who are trying to keep you alive.  It also means for a short period of time, you were not helping the group win against the current encounter which is a very bad thing

5-man Loot Rules

For guild 5-man instance runs, the following loot rules will apply (all standard stuff, nothing fancy).

Bind on Equip (BoE) items:
All green, blue, and epic BoE drops are to be greeded on.

Bind on Pickup (BoP) items:
All BoP items are to be greeded, disenchanted or passed on unless the item is an upgrade for you, in which case can be ‘needed’ upon. It is considered polite to let your party know of your intention to roll for the item before clicking need.

Usually if a BoP item is not required by the party, it will be DE’d.

BoP Recipes
BoP Tailoring/Leather Workers/Blacksmith and Engineers plans should be needed upon.

These rules apply to our Guild only groups. Please make sure that you ask about, and pay attention to loot rules when you are in a pick up group (PuG).  It always pays to have an understanding of their rules before you set off to an event/instance. We do not want any accusations of ninjas in our Guild.
